VAGWAD files exist in all versions of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II, Jak 3 and Jak X: Combat Racing. They always contain audio, ranging from dialogue and sound effects (all games) to in-level music (only in Jak 3 and Jak X: Combat Racing). They always have an "extension", which shows which language the VAGWAD file belongs to (like .ENG). The .INT extension indicates that the file contains languageless audio, usually sound effects and music.
On the PlayStation 2 versions of the games, the VAGDIR.AYB file is used by the game to know where to look for specific audio in the VAGWAD files.
